Windows 8 keyboard shortcuts
Windows key: Opens the Start screen or switches to the Desktop (if open).
Windows key + D:Opens the Windows Desktop.
Windows key + .:To Pin and Unpin Windows apps on the side of the screen.
Windows key + X:Opens the power user menu, which gives you access to many of the features such as Device Manager and Command Prompt.
Windows key + C:Opens the Charms.
Windows key + I: Open the Settings found in Charms.
Windows key + Tab: Shows open apps.
Windows key + Print screen: Creates a screen shot and saves it automatically in My Pictures folder.
